Privacy Policy

This Privacy Notice for Churn Technologies Sp. z o.o. (''we', 'us', or 'our''), describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ('process') your personal information when you use our services ('Services'), including when you:

  • Visit our website at https://qrrapid.com, or any website of ours that links to this Privacy Notice
  • Use QR code generator. A platform that lets you generate, customize, and track QR codes with design tools, analytics, and an intuitive dashboard.
  • Use the QR Rapid Chrome extension to create static QR codes on your device or use QR Rapid account, workspace, and dynamic QR features.
  • Engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events

Questions or concerns? Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. We are responsible for making decisions about how your personal information is processed. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at [email protected].

QR Rapid Chrome Extension

The extension’s single purpose is to create QR codes from content you choose and, when you sign in, let you create and manage QR codes in your QR Rapid workspace. Static QR generation can happen inside the extension. The extension does not load or execute code from a remote server.

Current pages and selected website content

When you open the extension or deliberately use one of its context-menu actions, it can access the current page URL and title, and may use the page favicon, only as needed for the visible QR workflow you requested. If you are signed in, opening the popup may send the current page URL to qrrapid.com to visibly check whether a matching QR code already exists in your workspace. That duplicate request sends the URL, not the page title or favicon, and its minimized response contains only the matching QR code’s ID and name.

If you choose a context-menu action for selected text or a link, the extension uses that text or link to prepare the requested QR. The temporary handoff is stored in Chrome session storage, expires after five minutes, and is consumed once. The extension does not continuously monitor browsing activity or collect your general browser history.

Clipboard and QR content

Clipboard Read and Clipboard Write are optional Chrome permissions. The extension requests Clipboard Read only when you choose Paste, and requests Clipboard Write only when you choose a Copy action. It uses clipboard content only to complete the action you requested and does not continuously monitor the clipboard.

You may enter URLs or text, Wi-Fi network details, vCard contact details, email recipients, subjects or messages, and WhatsApp phone numbers or messages for QR creation. A static QR can be generated locally without uploading the QR item to QR Rapid; the signed-in current-page duplicate check described above may separately send the current URL. Dynamic QR creation and workspace features communicate with qrrapid.com over HTTPS. When you choose to create a dynamic QR, the extension sends the name, encoded content, content type, dynamic QR type, and any selected saved style needed to save and render it. Signing in does not automatically upload your local static history.

Authentication and Chrome storage

The extension transmits your email address and password to QR Rapid only when you submit the sign-in form. The password is used for that sign-in request and is not stored by the extension. For authenticated use, persistent Chrome storage contains the bearer token, a user record containing only id, and a selected workspace record containing only id and name. The extension does not persist your email address, first or last name, profile image, country, role, account status, two-factor authentication state, account dates, subscription metadata, or similar profile fields.

Persistent Chrome storage may also contain approved recent QR history and your static or dynamic preference. Recent history can include the QR name and content, QR type, creation time, relevant favicon, and account or workspace identifiers needed to keep account-linked entries scoped to the correct signed-in context. The bounded workspace QR cache uses Chrome session storage rather than persistent local storage. The extension actively removes legacy durable cache and context-menu fields and reduces legacy user and workspace records to the minimized fields described above.

Network requests and extension safeguards

The bearer token is sent to qrrapid.com for authenticated actions such as validating the session, listing or switching workspaces, listing or searching workspace QR records, checking for an existing QR, creating dynamic QRs, requesting QR images or scan summaries, and completing actions you request such as rename, pause, resume, or delete. Chrome-extension-specific API responses are minimized for their disclosed purpose, and private extension responses use Cache-Control: private, no-store. The extension includes no analytics SDK or advertising SDK and does not support remote code execution.

IP addresses, anti-abuse, and location

During sign-in, the raw request IP address may be processed transiently by qrrapid.com to apply abuse and rate-limit protections. The Redis rate-limit record uses a key derived with SHA-256 rather than storing the raw IP address in that key, and the key has a ten-minute time to live. The extension does not request Chrome geolocation access and does not derive or store your country, GPS coordinates, or precise or approximate device location.

The ten-minute period applies to that Redis rate-limit key. Hosting, proxy, security, or other infrastructure providers may separately process IP addresses and HTTP request metadata for security, reliability, and troubleshooting under their operational retention settings.

Retention, sign-out, and deletion

Local static history remains in persistent Chrome storage until you remove an item, it rolls off the bounded recent-history list, you clear the extension’s data, or you uninstall the extension. Session cache and context-menu handoff data are not kept as durable local storage. Signing out removes the bearer token, minimized user and workspace records, session QR cache, and account-linked recent history, while local static history and preferences may remain.

Signing out or clearing local browser storage does not by itself delete QR codes or other account and workspace data stored by qrrapid.com. Server-side data remains subject to your account actions and the retention, deletion, legal, and backup provisions described in sections 7, 10, and 16 below. Providers that support hosting, databases, caching, and error monitoring may process extension request data on QR Rapid’s behalf only as needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Advertising separation and Chrome Limited Use

Website-wide provisions elsewhere in this Notice about cookies, analytics, advertising, remarketing, and promotional communications apply to visits to the QR Rapid website. Extension- derived data is not sold, used or transferred for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising, supplied to data brokers or information resellers, or used for creditworthiness or lending decisions.

Information received through Chrome APIs or provided through the extension is used only for the disclosed QR Rapid QR creation and workspace functionality, security and abuse prevention, and necessary service operation. It is transferred only when necessary to operate those features, comply with law, or protect security and prevent abuse, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

11. Controls for do-not-track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognising or honouring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
